Meet Nikki Tomasoni, our Principal People Leader at People By Design. Nikki leads our team with a passion for helping clients find the best solutions to their people challenges and opportunities. With a robust background in HR spanning over 20 years, Nikki started with succession planning and helping emerging leaders find their fit. This experience naturally evolved into recruitment and headhunting, ensuring businesses met their demands with the right people. Nikki’s role leading People By Design encompasses a full spectrum of HR services, from recruiting top talent and workforce planning to leadership development and performance management. She excels in having crucial conversations and coaching business owners and leaders on performance management, cultural fit, and negotiating smooth exits.

What Nikki enjoys most about her role is witnessing businesses grow and thrive by having the right people focused on success. She loves to see clients receive accolades such as Business and Employer of the Year and Employer of Choice awards, a testament to People By Design’s expert and trusted service. Outside of work, she is passionate about understanding what motivates people, enjoys farming cattle and hay, spending time with her family and horse-trial riding.

Sean Martyn is a highly experienced strategy consultant at People By Design, and the Principal Consultant at our partner business, Business By Design. He is renowned for his extensive knowledge across a diverse range of industries. With over two decades of expertise, Sean specialises in addressing core business challenges and implementing swift, effective changes. His background includes coaching clients in succession planning, strategic planning, governance, workforce planning, and leadership development. Sean leads businesses towards growth and success with the right people in place, while ensuring a balance between professional success and family life.

He is known for challenging long-held beliefs and providing candid feedback, ensuring real growth and success for his clients. Sean’s approach balances professional achievement with family well-being, making him an invaluable asset to People By Design.

Tess Daintree is a seasoned human resources and recruitment specialist with an impressive career spanning nearly four decades. She dedicated 18 years to senior roles within the Federal and ACT Governments, where she made significant contributions, such as developing the ACT Land Titles Automated Register System. This achievement earned her the prestigious ACT Public Service Award. Tess also spent 23 years as a successful business owner, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills. Her extensive education includes Accounting, Land Law, Business Administration, and Human Resources, providing her with a comprehensive skill set that drives her professional success.

Tess is a recruitment superstar, skilled in attracting talent, conducting initial selections, performing psychometric and skills assessments, and managing candidate concerns. She also specialises in overseas recruitment, visa applications, and liaising with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and Department of Home Affairs for Immigration matters.

Outside of work, Tess enjoys the vibrant QLD lifestyle, spending time with her family, travelling, and indulging in home renovation and styling.

Meet Liz Flint, our versatile and dynamic Virtual EA at People By Design. Liz brings a wealth of expertise to her role, excelling in executive management support, calendar management, meeting scheduling, travel bookings, venue coordination, and HR admin support. Her knack for organisation and efficiency ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. With qualifications that underscore her commitment to excellence, Liz is an indispensable part of our team. She thrives on the variety of responsibilities her role offers and cherishes the work/life balance it affords. Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending quality time with her family, staying active with reformer Pilates, hitting the golf course, and indulging in baking. Her passion for both her professional and personal life makes her a delightful and essential member of People By Design.

Introducing Netsi Gebrehiwot, our dedicated Virtual Recruitment Assistant at People By Design. Netsi plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support, primarily conducting pre-interviews, performing candidate reference checks, and preparing contracts and related documents. Her meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills ensure that our processes are smooth and efficient. Netsi loves her role, especially because it allows her to talk to different people, listen to their stories, and match the right applicants with job opportunities. She also takes pride in seeing her communication skills improve with every interaction. Outside of work, Netsi enjoys playing squash, listening to music, and reading history books.
